Lesson 3

Discuss any challenges you have had when dealing with or understanding the resolution of a Photoshop document. Did you run into any problems with the original image you had to work with? If yes, how did you resolve the problem?

Lesson 2 - Test File

 Now that you have had something printed at a real print shop, discuss your experiences. Did you get the results you were looking for? Did you experience any problems? If so, how would you resolve them?

Lesson 2 - Which file format?

One of the challenges when designing is choosing the proper file format for graphics. There are many variables that effect this decision. The two major variables include:

1. Your final product

2. The software you will build your artwork in

Discuss any challenges you have had when choosing the correct file format. Have you worked in any software that would not recognize an .eps file? .tif file? .jpg file? How have you made your choices in the past? Have you learned anything that may change your approach in the future?

Lesson 1 Practice Activity Discussion

After you have gathered your samples and separated them into the three groups, answer the following questions:


1. Did you have any problems making the groups?
2. Which group is the largest?
3. What would you do to correct the publications in the group that did not meet the standards?
4. What questions do you have about the publications you were unsure of?
